Paul Binotto

Director  - Modular BC

Adviser on the MHABC Board of Directors & Lead of the Provincial Modular Advocacy Program

Paul has a history in modular construction and is a strong advocate for the development of the BC Factory modular industry. He is past president and co-founder of My Lane Home Inc., an organization focused on modular infill, multi-generational, and affordable housing.

Paul has worked with various cities and planning professionals across the province to help further develop their infill programs, create industry partnerships, and establish Modular Best Practices. Paul is also an adviser to the Manufacturing Housing Association of British Columbia board of directors and leads the Provincial Modular Advocacy Program. The advocacy team created a Modular Bylaw Guide making modular more inclusive in city planning, and in conjunction with the Building Officials’ Association of BC, developing a Modular Permitting Check List and a Modular Inspector Check list. Paul in his role at Modular BC has initiated a provincial Standardized Modular Program and created a Mayor’s Task Force representing all corners of the province to utilize factory-built modular for fast, affordable, and sustainable housing to address our housing needs in BC.


C.G. (Gord) Rattray

Director  - Modular BC

Charles Gord Rattray is professional forester (RPF) by training and is a 1975 graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology with subsequent training at Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia and Edinburgh Business School.

Gord took on the role of Executive Director of the non-profit Manufactured Housing Association of BC in 2011 and managed the MHABC until the fall of 2023 wherein he continued to have a relationship with the MHABC in government advocacy and innovations activities. During his time with the MHABC, his responsibilities involved government relations, codes and standards, public relations and industry marketing. These responsibilities gave him a very good insight into the benefits of the factory-constructed housing industry and how it can truly benefit those persons in BC in affordable home ownership

He was employed in BC forest Industry from 1975 until 2003 working in divisional forestry and engineering and concluding his time in the industry as General Manager of the Cariboo Lumber Manufacturers Association, located in Williams Lake concluding in 2004. He then formed CGR Management, a consulting firm focussing on managing other non-profit associations.
